ProEnergy Services is an integrated service provider that delivers safe, reliable solutions to the global energy and ethanol industry. Headquartered in Sedalia, MO, ProEnergy Services has rapidly expanded its business, maintaining a staff of 250 energy professionals and more than 100 independent contractors. To accommodate its growing operations, the organization added several new buildings to its campus environment, which included space for a new warehouse, executive offices, a cafeteria, conference rooms, a mailroom, sales offices and training rooms.

“As we were building the new space, we had a vision for the final product but needed a partner to help us realize the full potential of the space and execute on our ideas,” said Cara Canon, Director of Marketing for ProEnergy Services. “We really needed a single provider who could handle all details of the interior – from the space planning, to product selection, to the implementation.

ProEnergy Services needed a commercial interior provider who could bring their expertise to the current new space, as well as be a long-term partner for future workspace needs. It was critical that the partner of choice had a successful track record managing interior design projects from concept to completion, understood the importance of creating a consistent corporate image that could stand the test of time and provide recommendations that aligned with the organization’s budget, usage and space requirements.

ProEnergy Services partnered with Business Interiors by Staplessm to help design and furnish its existing space, as well as additional construction planned for 2010 and beyond. To kick off the engagement, our experts at Business Interiors by Staples conducted a comprehensive on-site assessment, evaluating the organization’s needs for workspace, storage, seating and more. The team then provided detailed floor plans for each space, along with recommendations for furniture styles, color schemes, fabrics and finishes – all within the agreed-upon budget.

“We wanted to utilize every inch of space effectively, with an end result that was functional, flexible and aesthetically pleasing,” said Cheryl Bledsoe, Senior Program Account Manager with Staples. “We pride ourselves on proactively managing every detail of the project in order to bring an empty workspace to life.”

The decision makers with ProEnergy Services were able to visit the vendor-specific furniture showrooms to see the furniture and recommended styles first-hand. Once the project plan was agreed upon, Business Interiors by Staples managed the furniture purchasing, delivery and installation, ensuring that building code requirements were addressed appropriately.

Business Interiors by Staples has begun planning for the ProEnergy Services’ new machine shop, mechanical building and training center, due to be completed in 2010.
